Note: if you plan on taking commercial photos or just a lot of photos of things people don’t normally take photos of in the Navy Yard it would be best to let them know beforehand. I was questioned for 15 minutes after taking photos near the main gate. It’s still technically a military instillation so they would appreciate a little heads up before hand.
